He is unwilling to waste men looking for him, but suggests that you ask innkeepers or carriage drivers all over Skyrim. Luckily, Isran noticed an Imperial scholar passing by on the road just a few days ago. The only people who can read the scrolls are the blind Moth Priests who live in the Imperial City in Cyrodiil, a long way from Skyrim. While Serana can't help but make fun of Isran's anger, she will turn to you and remind you that she carries the Elder Scroll on her back and that it is necessary to read it to understand the prophecy. Regardless of your choice, Isran will agree to let Serana help out, but will turn to Serana and let her know: "Don't feel like a guest, because you're not. When asked what she is doing in the enemy fort, she will explain: "I'd rather not be here either, but I needed to talk to you. This may cause game-breaking bugs later on down the line.Once you have recruited Sorine Jurard and Gunmar into the Dawnguard, and Isran has welcomed them to Fort Dawnguard, you are told to follow Isran for a little interrogation session with the newly arrived vampire, named Serana. This will proabaly work, but only for a last resort. Find the ID, open the console and manually start the quest from there by following the instructions under the ID. If you go the Skyrim Wiki, you can find the quest page. At this point, you proabaly want to contant Steam dircetly, but there is a few more things you can try. Also try using the wait option for about 48 hours, and an Orc may come up to you and offer a place in the Dawnguard. If it is there, you may want to try other methods of starting it rather than waiting for it to come to you. If neither of these are visible, then Steam has screwed up. The icon should apper on your map when you travel to the nearest village. Alternatviley, at the very opposite of the map there will be the Dawnguard castle, which will be hidden away in a secret valley. If you see a castle icon and it's called something along the lines of "Volkiher" then it has succesfully installed. At the very North-West of the map will be the Vampire Castle that will appear on your map when you get close enough (You won't have access to it yet). If it is installed, check the two new locations.

Steam should automaticly download this kind of stuff, but you may need to mannuly install it by syncing it with the Steam Cloud. Firstly, check that the DLC in actually installed by looking under the main menu.
